ANCHOR RODE, Nylon Rope and Stainless Chain
All of our anchor rodes are made from double braid nylon ropes and stainless steel chain. We splice
Stainless Steel Chain on one end, the other end is Heat Sealed and whipped to prevent the rope from
unraveling..The main benefits of the chain is to help keep the anchor set and reduce the stress
on the nylon rope. Nylon rope will stretch when a load is applied, the elastic elongation is approx 20%.
The main benefit of this property is that nylon rope will absorb a certain amount of shock loading at
Anchorage.
The approx Working Load Limit is 1/5 of the breaking tensile strength
It is very important to match the rope Diameter to the boat size. Over size and undersize ropes may not
 protect your craft in adverse conditions.
